Being an American overseas, we are automatically cast as the latest "US burning man." So what happens when the Ugly American turns his sites to burning Korans? Those of us in the Middle East, biding our time and living peacefully in another culture, are thrown into the midst of the political backlash.

I am ashamed at one of the reader’s posts – offering to throw Muslim-American’s into camps until the problem goes away, then offering reparations in the future … as though that justifies enslavement of American’s within their own country.
Hatred is a tide – only a moral compass can keep us on course.
Let us hope no US man or woman abroad is physically injured due to the stupidity of a few.
